Privacy Policy

Nimdea may handle the following information:

• Account information: your name, email address, profile image, authentication session, and basic device or session information when you sign in.
• Content you ask Nimdea to process: selected text, readable page content, page titles and URLs, video captions and metadata, text you want rewritten, email-thread text you ask Nimdea to help answer, attachment filenames and notes you explicitly add for drafting, and messages you send in chat.
• Audio you explicitly capture: a short recording from the active browser tab when captions are unavailable and you request transcription. Nimdea does not activate tab audio capture merely because the extension is installed.
• Service and billing information: a randomly generated installation identifier, feature-usage counts, subscription status, and identifiers supplied by our billing provider. Nimdea does not receive or store your full payment-card details.
• Marketing attribution: campaign parameters or ad click identifiers in the link that brought you to Nimdea. We keep the first set locally through signup and send it with checkout so we can understand which campaigns produce trials and customers.

Page content is sent to Nimdea's service when you invoke a feature such as explain, translate, summarize, rewrite, draft a reply, or chat with page context enabled.

Automatic explanations are disabled by default. If you turn them on, Nimdea periodically sends a small window of recent video captions, the video title, channel, and site hostname to determine whether an important unfamiliar concept should be explained. You can turn this feature off at any time from the extension popup.

We use information to provide, improve, and secure Nimdea: authenticating users, generating requested AI responses and transcriptions, saving signed-in chat history, enforcing usage limits, providing subscription access, measuring marketing attribution, preventing abuse, troubleshooting, and complying with law. We do not sell personal information or use browsing activity for advertising, profiling, or unrelated purposes.

Nimdea sends only the information needed for a requested feature to service providers that process it on our behalf:

• Google provides sign-in and Gemini AI processing.
• OpenAI provides audio transcription.
• Lemon Squeezy provides checkout and subscription management.
• Our hosting and database providers process application requests and store account, chat, subscription, and usage information.

We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect the service and its users, or as part of a business transfer subject to appropriate safeguards. We do not allow people to read private user content except with the user's specific consent for support, when required for security or legal reasons, or after it has been aggregated and anonymized for internal operations.

Extension preferences, the installation identifier, and sign-in information are stored in Chrome's local extension storage. The first marketing attribution parameters are stored in the website's local storage so they survive signup and checkout navigation. Email writing preferences and follow-up reminders you schedule are also stored locally; reminder notifications contain the conversation subject and participant so you can return to Gmail. Signed-in chat history and account, subscription, and usage records are stored on our servers. Content submitted for one-off AI actions is processed to return the requested result and is not added to your Nimdea chat history unless you use the chat feature.

We retain account and saved chat information while your account is active and retain service records only as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described above, including security, billing, and legal obligations.

Nimdea transmits user data over HTTPS and relies on access controls and the security safeguards of its hosting, database, authentication, AI, and billing providers. No online service can guarantee absolute security.

You can disable automatic explanations, exclude current-page context from chat, cancel scheduled email reminders from the email assistant, sign out, remove locally stored extension data by uninstalling the extension, and delete individual saved chats. To request access to or deletion of account information, contact us at the address below.

You can revoke Google account access from your Google Account's third-party connections settings.

Nimdea is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

We may update this policy as Nimdea changes. We will update the effective date on this page and provide additional notice when a change materially affects how user information is handled.
